Revegetation Projects

The Hunter Valley Stepping Stones project supports landholders to conduct revegetation and restoration works on their properties.

The project is focused on three priority areas:

  • Upper Hunter Link from Goulburn River in the south to the Liverpool ranges in the north - Wybong - Halls Creek Catchments,
  • Merriwa Plateau from east of Merriwa to just beyond the Hunter catchment in the west,
  • Lower Hunter Link from the Watagans National Park and the Donaldson Conservation Trust Area in the South to Bulahdelah and Myall Lakes in the north

Through Stepping Stones there is support available for on ground works (weed control, bush regeneration, tree planting and fencing) and project and property planning. This may include professional and volunteer teams from Conservation Volunteers Australia to undertake weed control or planting.
